Plexa Health provides a unified API platform that enables authorized healthcare applications, clinics, labs, insurers, and developers to exchange healthcare data securely and in compliance with applicable laws.

These Terms apply to:

  • Registered users (developers, organization accounts)

  • Integrating healthcare partners (EMRs, labs, clinics, insurers)

2. Eligibility

To use Plexa, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have the authority to enter into agreements for your organization

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Use data only for authorized and lawful purposes

3. Your Account

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Keep credentials secure

  • Not share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Plexa to access data without proper consent

  • Attempt to bypass security or authentication

  • Use the API in ways that violate privacy laws

  • Misuse, copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the Services

  • Interfere with Plexa’s infrastructure, rate limits, or systems

5. API Usage & Rate Limits

Plexa may establish rate limits to ensure stability and fair access.

You agree to:

  • Use your own authenticated API keys

  • Respect published rate limits

  • Avoid excessive or abusive automated requests

We may restrict usage to prevent system degradation or misuse.

6. Patient Consent & Data Handling

When using Plexa to retrieve healthcare data:

  • You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid patient authorization.

  • Plexa may provide tools to facilitate consent, but responsibility remains with you.

  • You must comply with applicable healthcare data regulations in your region.

  • You must not store or use patient data beyond what is legally permitted or authorized.

Plexa acts as a secure data conduit, not a long-term data repository.

7. Data Privacy

Plexa handles personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

We do not sell personal data.
We do not store patient health data except as strictly necessary for processing authorized requests.

8. Intellectual Property

Plexa owns:

  • The API

  • Documentation

  • Website content

  • Logos, trademarks, and branding

  • All underlying technology and infrastructure

You receive a limited, revocable license to use the Services for your own applications.

You may not:

  • Reproduce or redistribute Plexa software

  • Use the Plexa name or logo without written permission

  • Create derivative works from our content or code

9. Service Availability

We aim to maintain reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We may:

  • Modify or discontinue features

  • Perform maintenance

  • Update systems or documentation

We are not liable for delays, downtime, or data loss resulting from service changes or interruptions.

10. Disclaimers

  • Continuous or error-free performance

Healthcare data accuracy depends on the systems and partners providing it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Plexa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Plexa’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the 12 months preceding the event (if applicable).

You agree to use Plexa at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Plexa harmless from claims arising out of:

  • Your misuse of the Services

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your handling of healthcare data

  • Any breach of consent or legal obligations

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You misuse or overload the API

  • We suspect unauthorized or unlawful activity

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Upon termination:

  • API access is revoked

  • Stored credentials will be disabled

  • Any legal obligations regarding data handling continue
